HITEC University is a well-known private university in Taxila Cantonment, Punjab, Pakistan. The Heavy Industries Taxila Education City was the inspiration for HITEC University (HITEC).

In collaboration with UET Taxila, BS, BBA, and BS Islamic Studies in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were launched in 2007. On November 17, 2009, the Punjab Government granted HITEC University its charter, and all of the students were transferred to HITEC University.
